Husband v 2.0 or: My Husband, The Geek

I'm finding things out about my husband that I never knew. Never thought possible. Since he started his new job a few months ago, new words are creeping into his vocabulary. He's throwing around phrases like "external hard drive" and "thumb drive", "let's network" and "is that a USB port, or are you just happy to see me?". Not really, on that last one, but seriously, he's gone techie on me.

In the last week, he's wirelessly networked out home computers, bought a little zip-drive thingy to transfer music from his computer to his phone, got an external hard drive for my computer to store the thousands of digi files that have been slowing me down, and installed webcams for both of us to video-chat while he's at work. Hello? When did this happen? When did he suddenly become a GEEK? Don't get me wrong. I love it. But I must admit I'm feeling a tad behind the learning curve, here.

Last night we actually chatted to each other on our webcams FROM THE NEXT ROOM. Yes, it was an exciting Saturday night at the Baker house.

It's been a lot of fun seeing this new side of my husband unfold. I guess you'd have to really know him to appreciate what a stretch this is for him. Let's just say his idea of a hard drive? Well, it's not something you get at Best Buy.

Michelle, you crack me up! Now I'm worried about my husband going all geek-squad on me. Ha. Not going to happen.

And fyi, I am drooling over the mint truffle pops you have here!

Just wanted to let you know I enjoy reading your blog...
