Weekend Tidbits...

I am having the MOST awesome weekend. Went out for some SINFUL chocolate raspberry cake and coffee yesterday with my friend Nikki for a belated birthday celebration. So fun to just sit and chat and eat and relax.

Watched Wedding Crashers last night with Paul and laughed and laughed.

Today I'm working on some shower invitation ideas to help my sister out. The one on the left is Delish Designs paper...totally yummy. The mom-to-be loves shabby chic. Been using my Basic Grey notch tool...loving it! I have to admit it took me a while to get the hang of it...measuring and marking is a MUST to line up the notches with the tabs. But once I figured that out, I was diggin' it! The little paper box is an Ellison die. I made a square card that fits inside with the shower details, and I thought she could nestle some little chocolate inside. It needs something more, just not sure what yet.

Yesterday for fun I googled "Urban Camo" and found the 3 Scrappy Boys website is using my stuff in their March kit. How fun is that?! Totally loving the Heidi Swapp corners and alphas with it.

Have you ever googled your own name? Try it! I got some funny results. I think there must be a famous body builder/fitness personality named Michelle Baker. Too funny. Do not be confused. I can see how it could happen..seeing how buff I am and all. ;)

Went tanning yesterday. It's my guilty pleasure. It's my "me" indulgence. I figure it can't be any more sun than most people get in "America" (versus Alaska, which isn't part of "America"). haha! I seriously think it gives me the boost I need this time of year. I mean, it's been about 5 months since my skin has seen the sun.

And this is Sam, minus one front tooth. Don't mind the fact that he's about to split his face in two with this silly, awkward grin. For the life of me, I couldn't get him to just smile. Love the jack-o-lantern grin, though.

Have a terrific Sunday! I'm going to go play some more.

Hey Michelle....thanks for reading Nitty.Gritty. from all the way in Alaska. It's so cool for me to see that there are people from Australia to you who are in on this thing with me. I'm just trying to keep it authentic and interesting at the same time. By the way, I gotta go to HeatherAnn Designs now and chek out her stuff. I don't do a lot of digi-scrapping, but I find other uses for the products- here's one of my favorites. Set you desktop background to the various papers...my hubby thinks I'm crazy for changing them up all the time. I enjoy the colors, patterns and design. Have a great week up north! Ciao for now~
